RHS Principal's Report for Dec. 15, 2019
One week to go! We’re in the final push to the Holiday break and I hope everyone is ready for some time away with family, friends, and a chance to relax and reset. Before that happens, though, we have a busy week ahead and some important info about the weeks of the Break.

They will be sent home on Friday, 1/10/20
Cornerstone Exams (Finals) Next Week!
All students at RHS who will take Cornerstone Exams next week on Monday through Thursday. Cornerstones are the equivalent of Finals. Here are some bulleted points to know about Cornerstones Exams:
- They DO test information learned in both the 1st and 2nd Quarter.
- No non-Cornerstone exams will be given during next week.
- The Cornerstone Exam IS the most weighty test students will take each quarter. It is worth 1.5 times the next most weighted test students took that quarter.
- We will take Cornerstones at the end of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Quarters. Each time it will include things learned in each of the previous Quarters.
- Some exams WILL take more than one day. This is about mastery, not timed testing.
- We will NOT take Cornerstones in the 4th Quarter, as that during that time, we will be focused on State Assessments.

Monday 12/16 - Social Studies
Tuesday 12/17 - Math
Wednesday 12/18 - English
Thursday 12/19 - Science
Friday 12/20 - Make ups
Christmas Band Concert - Monday, 12/16
The RHS and RMS Bands will perform their Christmas Concert this coming Monday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the deGraffenried Auditorium. Come and join us for an evening showcasing some of the best musical talent around!
RHS Winter Art Show - Monday, 12/16
Just before the Band Christmas Concert, from 5 – 7 p.m. in the deGraffenried Lobby, there will be a Winter Art Show featuring many of the talented pieces by RHS students. Stop by and check it all out!
Basketball is off and running at RHS
The RHS Boys Basketball team , under first year Head Coach Carlos Quarles is off to a 3-0 start for the season. The Lady Panther Basketball program, under the leadership of Coach Cameron Jackson is 3-1. Both the Boys and Girls teams have a good deal of games in the coming weeks so be sure to check them out! Be sure to stop by and see come great basketball at the Cocoa Collier Classic on Jan. 4. Click HERE for that schedule.
