Based on the recommendation of the Kentucky State Government, Russellville Independent & Logan County Schools will be closed beginning Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 10, in order to prevent community-spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

We understand that this is a big, but necessary, step which will create impactful challenges for our students and families. We have prepared options for supplemental learning and meal services in the coming weeks, and with the help of our community partners, we will get through this challenging period in our lives.

Please understand that it is very important that your child attend school tomorrow, Friday, March 13, so that we can prepare them for the NTI (Non Traditional Instruction) plans needed during our school closure.

Both districts are also working to finalize our plans for providing food service options throughout the time that students are away from school. Please understand that we are working with community organizations, KDE (Kentucky Department of Education), and the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) to be able to provide food service meals to our students and more details will be forthcoming.
