SKYCTC President Phillip Neal issued the following statement to the college’s students, faculty and staff at midday Friday.

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) cares about the health and safety of our college community. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, SKYCTC will implement the following changes:

  • All classes are cancelled for Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17. During this time, instructors will transition courses to an online environment.
  • All courses will resume in the online environment from March 18 through April 5.
  • We will communicate the specific class changes and updates by noon, Tuesday, March 17 by KCTCS email.
  • All on-campus events will be cancelled through April 5.

We understand that this situation will create challenges. SKYCTC remains committed to student success, and we encourage everyone to be patient and flexible during this challenging time.

At this time, all SKYCTC campuses will remain open with reduced services. Plans are being made to accommodate student access to the library, computer labs, and student services.

KCTCS email will be the official mode of communicating updates and changes. It is imperative students check their email the afternoon of March 17 for class updates, and then at least once daily through April 5.

As previously mentioned, please continue to take precautions to stay healthy. Also, please see these online resources for College updates and COVID-19 information: https://kctcs.edu/covid-19/https://southcentral.kctcs.edu/covid-19/covid-19-update.aspx, and https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.

Again, this is an ever-evolving situation, and things could change rapidly. We will keep you informed
