Auburn School has announced the selection of Kristina Rice as the new principal.

Rice has been working in the Logan County school system for 15 years as a high school English teacher, a district curriculum coordinator, the assistant principal at Auburn School, and most recently the principal at Adairville School.

“Logan County Schools is the place to be,” Rice stated. “The dedication to students in this district is outstanding. Being the principal at Adairville School was a wonderful experience, and I am thankful for my time there.”

With the transition back to Auburn School, Rice is excited to reconnect with the Auburn community. “My role as a principal is to support our students, families, and staff in continuing the tradition of excellence at Auburn School. I look forward to a great upcoming school year.”

“First, I want to commend the Auburn SBDM council for their hard work and dedication to this very important process. We had 11 strong candidates, Mrs. Rice’s experience as a successful principal elevated her to be the strongest candidate to replace David Ward,“ said Logan County Schools Superintendent Paul M. Mullins.

Auburn School will provide the community an opportunity to meet Rice once regulations permit. Rice, her husband Andrew, and their son plan to reside in the Bowling Green area.
