Adairville School is pleased to announce the selection of Lori Bouldin as the new interim principal.
Bouldin began her career as a sixth grade Language Arts teacher at Christian County Middle School in 1994. In 1996, she joined Logan County Schools to serve as a Middle Grades Reading and Language Arts teacher at Adairville Middle School. During that tenure, Bouldin was a part of an award-winning team of teachers designated a “National School to Watch” five times. After 25 years in the classroom, she now has the unique opportunity to lead the school she loves.
Bouldin graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English with a Middle Grades endorsement in Reading and Communication. Continuing at WKU, she earned her Masters’ degree in Education and a Rank I in Administration. She is a National Board Certified Teacher twice over, certifying in 2004 and again in 2014.
Bouldin is very excited about filling the gap as Adairville principal: “I’ve been so blessed to teach and serve under so many excellent school administrators who empowered teachers and developed us into leaders. This next step will be a challenging one, but one I’ve prepared for my whole career. Adairville School and community is my family; I am humbled and honored to serve them in this new way.”
Logan County Schools superintendent Paul Mullins says, “I am very appreciative of the SBDM Council at Adairville and the principal selection process. The SBDM Council is excited for the appointment of Mrs. LorI Bouldin as interim principal. Throughout her successful career, she has always faithfully served the students, families and community of Adairville. We are looking forward to a successful 2020-2021 school year.”
Principal Bouldin grew up seeing first-hand what’s involved in serving as a school principal. Her dad, Mickey Meguiar, is the retired long-time principal of Russellville High School. He also served as an assistant superintendent of the Russellville Schools. Her mother, Martha Jo Meguiar, was a long-time school offices workers.
Bouldin lives in Russellville with her husband Thomas. They have three daughters: Ann-Meguiar, Olivia, and Eva.
