The Governor’s Executive Order contained detailed mandates for public schools.  In order to comply with those mandates, we will implement the following changes:

1.     Beginning Nov. 23, all Logan County students will move to virtual instruction.

2.     Students in preschool through 5th grade may return to in-person instruction on Dec. 7 if our county is not placed in the Red Zone by the Kentucky Department for Public Health.  (This information is available at https://govstatus.egov.com/kycovid19

3.     Students in grades 6 through 12 will remain on virtual instruction until Jan. 4, 2021. This is pending any further clarifications from the Governor's Office, KDE or KPH.

In the time period from Nov. 23 through Dec. 4, schools will not be working with students in-person, even in small groups. Principals will provide further information at a later time regarding when small group interventions can resume.

Meals will be available for pick-up at each school on this Friday, Nov. 20 from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. This is for both in-person students and virtual academy students. There will be no meal pickup on Friday, Nov. 27.  Our Food Service Director will be sending out more specific information on food distribution soon.

We know that this relatively sudden change may be stressful for our staff, students and parents.  However, we hope that you will all use Thanksgiving Break as a time to relax and recharge your batteries.
