Cassie Reding has been named as the Interim Russellville Middle School principal, replacing Cameron Jackson, who has resigned to take a position as DPP/HR in the Fleming County School District.

Reding taught six years in the Todd County School District before coming to Russellville in 2014 to teach at Stevenson Elementary.

She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has extensive experience serving on committees and councils at the state and national levels. She has presented multiple times at state conferences.

Currently Ms. Reding is serving as the District Instructional Facilitator for grades 6th-12th grade. She holds a master’s degree in school counseling from Murray State and is completing her administration certification through Campbellsville University.

Interim Superintendent Leon Smith says, “Ms. Reding’s familiarity and current work at the middle school will provide a seamless transition as the interim principal. She has been an integral part in curriculum development and the implementation of literacy programs across the district. I believe she has exceptional leadership potential and has a bright future as a school administrator and would like for everyone to welcome Ms. Reding in her new role.”
