Russellville Schools COVID numbers greatly improved after break

COVID statistics for Russellville Independent schools were significantly lower when school resumed after a 10-day break Tuesday.

According to numbers provided by school official Conrad Reding, students involved in active cases Tuesday were 105, less that half of Friday’s 221 total and far below the 159 on the last day of classes Aug. 27 before school decision makers shut down all classes until after Labor Day.

No staff members showed positive COVID test results Tuesday and only two were quarantined.

Here are the totals from the last three reporting dates:

9-7-21

Students positive = 11
Students quarantined = 94
Total students involved in active COVID cases = 105

Staff Positive = 0
Staff Quarantined = 2
Total Staff involved in active COVID cases = 2

9-3-21

Students positive = 37

Students quarantined = 184

Total students involved in active COVID cases = 221 

 

Staff Positive = 2

Staff Quarantined = 4

Total Staff involved in active COVID cases = 6

 

These numbers are accurate as of 3:30 PM 8/27/2021

Students Positive = 44 (up 22 from Wednesday)
Students Quarantined = 115 (down 47 from Wednesday)
Total students involved in active COVID cases = 159 (down 25 since Wednesday)

Staff Positives = 9 (up 4 since Wednesday)
Staff Quarantined = 10 (up 3 from Wednesday)
Total staff involved in active COVID cases = 19
