RHS Beta wins at state, offers Christmas program Tuesday

After a highly successful competitive venture at the state Beta convention, members of the Russellville High School Beta Club are planning a public Christmas performance this Tuesday at deGraffenried Auditorium.

Christmas with Beta will be held from 7-8 p.m. Dec. 18. “Beta students will showcase their many talented holiday acts of song, dance, riffle, brass and more to spread some cheer!! Everyone is invited!” says sponsor Christy Marksberry.

RHS Beta members won three state championships. The champs were by Sydney Herndon in On Site Colored Pencil, Emilie Gill in Pastel and Kelsey Harris in sewing. Each of them placed in at least one more event.

Those placing were as follows:

First Places

On-Site Colored Pencil....Sydney Herndon

Second Places

Wreaths....Colby Nichols, 2nd place

Cartooning...Jeffrey Fox, 3rd place

Chalk..........Emilie Gill, 2nd place

Advertising...Kyle Prince, 2nd place

Science Test.........Ethan Mullen
Living Literature....Sydney Herndon, Jason Fox, Jeffrey Fox, Kelsey Harris, Brittany Lyne, Sarah Brown.
