Fourteen teams competed at the event and our team finished 5 points shy of receiving the most points at the competition [one of our maneuvers-worth 130 points- didn’t work as well as it did during our practice sessions]. The second-place finish in the high school division did qualify the team to compete at the state competition on March 28!
Robotics teams are limited to 2-3 operators. Our team is Trevor D. Brown, Chris Gipson & Jared Young. Unfortunately, Trevor has been dealing with some health issues and was unable to attend the event [but he did put in a lot of work to help us get there]. This was their first such competition and they competed against teams that had considerable more experience.
