The Kentucky State Envirothon Competition was held on May 9 & 10 in Jabez, Ky.  Envirothon is a competition that tests students on their knowledge of Soils, Aquatics, Wildlife, Foresty and a Current Issue Topic.

Logan County High School had two teams compete at the West Regional Envirothon at Pennyrile State Forest on April 20.  Logan County Team B went on to compete at the State Envirothon, where they finished in 3rd Place overall.  They received an medal for posting the highest score in Wildlife and also a
backpack for finishing 3rd.  Logan Team B consisted of (left to right) Will Hughes, Thomas Poole, D. J. Lee, Wesley Estes and Adam Wilkins.

Logan Team A (not pictured) consisted of Austin Smotherman, Brandon Hunt, Wesley Hughes, Matt Hughes, and Conner Williams.

“Congratulations to these students for a job well done,” says Jay Campbell, an LCHS agriculture teacher and FFA advisor.
