Several fun and seasonal festivities are planned in Lewisburg through Christmas with the theme “Making Christmas Memories.” A list of them follows: 

Nov. 30-Dec. 14

Keep it Local Give-A-Way!

 

4 cash prizes of $25 each

Shop at one of the sponsoring Lewisburg businesses; put your name and phone number on the receipt and drop it in the marked box at the store or at Lewisburg City Hall. The drawing will take place at noon on Dec. 14 just before the parade begins. Sponsoring Businesses:  Thrift & More, Lewisburg General Store, Gower Drug, and IGA.

 

Dec. 12, 6 p.m.  Senior’s Snowflake Dance

Get out your dancing shoes and join your friends at the Lewisburg City Complex.Live music provided by Tim Harris & The Rockin’ Ragers! Admission is $3 per person or $5 for a couple. Bring a covered dish for the Potluck and get in FREE!! There will be games and prizes also!

Dec. 13, 6 p.m.  Friday Night Flicks

The movie Saving Santa will be shown at the Lewisburg City Complex. Before the movie begins we will let each person decorate a cookie. Then join in the Reindeer Games that are fun for everyone! Finally, the entire family will settle in for the movie and hot chocolate and snacks! Each child there will also receive a special surprise from Santa!

Dec. 14, 8-11 a.m.  Breakfast with Santa

Bring your children to the Lewisburg City Complex for a visit with Santa and enjoy a yummy breakfast before the Christmas Parade. All you can eat pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. The cost is $5 Adult Ticket and $3 Kid Ticket (one free kid’s meal with purchase of adult’s ticket). There will be door prizes!

Dec. 14, Noon  Christmas Parade

Come and line the streets to see out Christmas Parade! The parade route will begin on N. Third St. and travel down Stacker to Tatum then up E. Green St. We are focusing on the children this year, with our Grand Marshals being students from Lewisburg School’s Leadership Program! We encourage all children to come out and march, ride bikes, skate boards, tractors…whatever you want and be a part of our parade! There will also be Fire Engines, businesses, churches and civic organizations in our parade! Entry forms can be picked up at City Hall.
