Logan County High School will hold its Freshman Orientation on Monday, July 28.  All incoming 9th graders are encouraged to attend as this is an opportunity to meet teachers, find classes, and begin the year on a positive note.

Because of the large number of people in attendance, we will have two separate sessions. Students with last names beginning with the letters A through J may arrive at the school beginning at 5:15, with the opening session beginning at 5:30. Those with last names beginning with the letters K through Z may arrive at the school beginning at 6:30, with the opening session beginning at 6:45.

When arriving, freshmen will pick up their schedules at the concession stand in the main lobby and then proceed to the gymnasium. After a short opening session, students will meet with their homeroom teachers. Upon dismissal from homerooms, students will be able to take a self-guided tour of the school to locate their classes. In the Commons Area, there will be information on bus routes, lunch, nurse, and extracurricular activities. Additionally, freshmen will be able to purchase “Class of 2018” shirts for $10.

Freshmen who are unable to attend the orientation will be able to pick up their schedules on the first day of school, Wednesday, July 30 as will students in grades 10-12 if did not pick theirs up on July 16 or 17.
