*RHS Junior Kaylee Silvey auditioned Saturday at WKU for the 11-12th grade all district band. We learned this morning that she has been chosen as a 1st Chair Bass Clarinet participant. Congratulations to Kaylee on such a great accomplishment and for representing our RHS band program in this event.

*If you missed the football game on Friday night, you missed one heck of a game as the RHS Panthers came from behind to clinch a spot in next week’s regional championship game with Bethlehem High School. Game begins at 7, and we want to fill Rhea Stadium with Panther Fans!! The class/grade-level that has the greatest percentage of students attend the game will be treated to an afternoon of good times and treats on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break begins! Spread the word and encourage your classmates to attend Friday night’s Regional Championship game!!

Thanks to Pep Club Coordinator Jessie Baker and the Pep Club committee for organizing another fantastic Panther Pep Rally this past Friday. While the juniors were the winners of the pep stick, the sophomores came prepared to give them a run for their “spirit”! I challenge all sophomores to avenge your class Friday night at the football game and earn that Tuesday afternoon party!

*Our FCCLA students, along with Sponsor Ashley McGinnis, will be traveling to Indianapolis for the FCCLA National Cluster meeting on Friday. Students include Mateah Black, Jalonda Wells, Kaylee Ashby, Cierra Collins, Destiny Leblanc, and Chelsea Clinard. We wish them the best of luck and safe travels as they represent RHS during this event!

*On Nov. 19, RJSHS will host a college fair with different area colleges and military representatives set up during this event. 11th and 12th grade students will be scheduled to visit these reps from 8:30-11 a.m. We also invite any interested parents to attend this event if possible. If a parent wants to attend, you may request that your student be called to participate with you. We look forward to a great turnout!
