Chamber, LEAD to welcome Rane to Russellville

The Logan County Chamber of Commerce and LEAD (Logan Economic Alliance for Development) will make a joint public announcement at the Rane Precision Die Casting plant (originally Rockell) this Monday, March 28, at 2:30 p.m.

The announcement will be made on the front lawn of the Hopkinsville Street facility to welcome new owner Rane to Russellville. Rane is a publically traded India auto components company.

“LEAD, local government, TVA, the Russellville Electric Plant Board and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development have been working with PDC (Precision Die Casting) and Rane for several months to help finalize this acquisition,” says Chamber Executive Director Ryan Craig.

"We are excited about the future possibilities with a company fully committed to Russellville and the auto parts business," LEAD Executive Director Tom Harned said.

 The event will move inside to the cafeteria in the event of rain.

Rane (Madras) Limitedwas established in 1929 and had $511 million sales turnover in 2014-15. The company supplies products to every segment of the auto industry and has global partnerships. Rane exports its products to more than 30 countries.
