Stevenson 5th Graders honored as they move on to Russellville Jr. High

Stevenson Elementary School held its 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony on Wednesday, May 25. Principal Lisa White welcomed the families and friends of those being recognized. A.J. Taylor gave the invocation, and special music was performed by the 5th Grade Band and SEAL Music Students.

Charles Main was the guest speaker who challenged each student to be their best and set high goals but to enjoy this time of their lives. He encouraged them to be thankful and express their thanks.

Awards and recognitions were presented by each 5th Grade teacher. The students being promoted to the middle school are as follows:

Conrad Reding’s Homeroom: Grraciann Beard, Cameron Beasley, Gracie Belew, Mackiyah Bertha, Lily Buffa, Tiffany Dotson, Andrew Dowlen, Dakota Duncan, Dalton Gilbert, Lamarcus Hickman, Alexis Hyams, Christian Jackson, Aliyah Kennedy, Elijah Keowan, DeeAndre Leavell, Brooklyn Lucey, Jay Patel, Camden Phillips, Jayden Russell, Abby Saunders, Nevaeh Stevenson, Jasonia Stovall, Caine Sydnor, Kylie Vera, Aeireona Yancey, Izzy Zepeda, and Bradley Vannice.

Shelly Greene’s Homeroom: Cameron Burnett, Nathan Chute, Davion Cook, Isaac Coursey, Cassie Daniels, Paul Depaolo, Adam Edwards, Zander Erby, Conor Gomez, Nevaeh Graves, Rosie Hardimon, Bailey Harper, Kayleen Hines, Jaylah, Kees, Jaecie Kimbrough, Rachel Logan, Taliah Matthews, Abby Paul, Ian Payne, Taysha Rose, Jeremiah Smith, A.J. Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Joscelyn Townsend, Josiah Westbrook, Zoe Wright, and Tyroyce Young.

Kaitlin Yowell’s Homeroom: Jayden Ashley, Candace Baker, Makayla Bertha, Kaleyonna Bigbee, Elijah Buchner, Selena Chavez, A’miyah Collier, Alissia Davis, Clifton Faughn, Derrick Gilbert, Caleb Grayson, Damian Grimes, Alivia Johnson, Brinley Mason, Keegan McReynolds, Navelle Merriman, Jordin Morris, Terry Nichols, Nickolas Phillips, Mason Pitts, Anna Ragland, Katlyn Richardson, Maria Ruiz, Bri Searing, Erica Sells, Layne Steele, Ashton Taylor, and Taleyah Tooles.

At the conclusion, Mrs. Shelly Greene was recognized and presented flowers as she is retiring. She is well-loved, and many in the crowd stood, indicating they had her as their teacher. She will be missed, but many good wishes are for her during her retirement.
