Toys for Tots Benefit Singing
A Toys for Tots Benefit Singing will begin at 6 p.m. at the Old Logan County Courthouse, organized by Travis Bryan. Among those performing will be Cathy Wikins Ackerman, Tim Harris, the Turner Family, The Challengers, Lack Sisters, Bilbreys, Tim Harris, Larry Houchin, Bonnie Poe, Shawn Sattazahn, Charles R. Crafton & Chloe Logan. Those attending are asked to bring an unwrapped toy.

Toys for Tots Ham Breakfast
The Agape Toys for Tots Country Ham Breakfast will be held from 5:30 a.m. until noon at the Cattle Pen Restaurant across from Market Square. This event will be in memory of Bud Manle and, Ruel Houchens and in honor of Suel Houchens-all from Houchens Markets-- and all those who have ever helped with the breakfast. The cost is $5 per person with delivery available upon request. Pre-orders for breakfasts can be made at 542-8697.

One of Kentucky’s finest antique and craft markets, just in time for Christmas! Features over 30 regional antique vendors and artists. Event is free to the public with a canned food item or monetary donation that will be distributed to those needful in the community.

For a ‘first chance’ opportunity to shop, make reservations for the Preview Party, Friday, December 3, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Enjoy coffee and desserts and listen to Christmas carols being performed by the South Union Shaker Quartet.
Reservations required: $10 per person.

Adairville Christmas Market & More
The Adairville-South Logan Chamber of Commerce will host an open air Christmas Market & More, to kick off celebrations of the Christmas holiday Saturday, Dec. 4 from 2-8 p.m. Planned events include free entertainment, pictures with Santa, and trolley and wagon rides around the city to view decorated homes and businesses. Entertainment will include musicians and singers performing Christmas favorites, local school bands, Christmas story readings, narrations of Christmas history and traditions, and more. The Logan County High School FFA will be selling 6-7 ft., real North Carolina Frasier Fir Christmas trees. The evening will culminate with an auction of Christmas trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses, decorated by the students of Adairville School.

Benefit for Backpack Ministry at Cambridge Place
The Cambridge Place Christmas Wellness Expo will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to benefit the Backpack Ministry. Those attending are asked to bring a backpack item to help provide weekend meals for underprivileged children. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be there from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Also offered will be a petting zoo, inflatables, face painting, eye screenings, grilled meats, and kickboxing and circuit training dem0s. Cambridge Place is off the 68-80 bypass where Orthopedics Plus/Performance Plus, Lifeforce and Logan Eye Care are located.

Junior Achievement Breakfast with Santa
The Junior Achievement Breakfast with Santa will be held from

Schohcoh Christmas Parade
The annual Schochoh Christmas Parade will begin at 2 p.m., followed by the free BBQ dinner at the community center. The 2nd annual Christmas service at Red River Meeting House will be at 4 pm. Please feel free to join us in the parade and at the service.

SHAKER CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS
at the historic Shaker Village site
for students in grades 1-8

South Union Shaker Village is offering a school program which demonstrates the traditions of the Shakers around the tree and in the kitchen. Shaker traditions are very unique and in our world today could be helpful in shaping minds to be simpler and more giving. Join us for this special program.

We know that it can be difficult to get students to great programs because of transportation costs. Consequently, South Union Shaker Village has a

Benefit for Wounded Warrior
Auburn Minit Mart will host a chili supper for the benefit of wounded warrior J.D. Williams of Auburn and his family. Sgt. Williams was wounded in Afghanistan and is now a triple amputee.

It will be held at p.m. at the Auburn Fire Department.on the square. For more information, call 542-4189.

Lewisburg Christmas Celebration

Lewisburg will have its 3rd Annual Christmas Parade of Lights on Dec. 11. The theme this year is “Christmas Through a Child’s Eyes.” The day will get kicked off at noon with the Christmas Bazaar in the Lewisburg School. Santa will arrive at the school for pictures and to visit with the children from 2-4 p.m.

A Chili Supper sponsored by Lewisburg Lions Club will be held from 2-6 p.m. in Lewisburg School Cafeteria. Come in and enjoy Chili, Sandwich, Dessert & Drink for $5. This year the “Books to Go” Library will also have its 4th Annual Christmas Tree Auction in Lewisburg School Cafeteria. Outside as you wait for the parade to begin you will be entertained with caroling in McKinney Park at 4:30 featuring Lewisburg churches that have come together for a Community Choir. There will also be food vendors outside.

The Parade of Lights begins at 6 p.m. Come out and see all brightly lit floats that parade down out streets. This is a unique and festive event that is growing each year. Contact Tina Callahan-Dye 755-5202 for more information.

Russellville Christmas Decorating Contest
Judging for the Russellville Christmas Decorating Contest will take place between 6-9 p.m. Judging will be based on creativity, appearance, effort and theme. To enter for free, Russellville residents should call Parks and Rec at 726-5033 by Dec. 15.
