Logan County High School’s 2017 commencement ceremony was held on May 21 at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green. The graduating class was led by Valedictorian Kaitlyn Foster. She is the daughter of Michael and Sandra Foster of Lewisburg. Salutatorians of the class of 2017 were Amber Carroll, daughter of Doug Carroll and Jennifer Bedel of Russellville, and Isiaha Price, nephew of Matthew Price of Auburn.
The LCHS graduating class of 2017 boasts a Gatton Academy graduate, National Merit finalist, 3 Governor’s Scholars, 16 Beta students, and 60 Honors graduates. Several students earned college credit while attending high school. In their senior year alone, those students acquired over 1,140 college credit hours. The graduating seniors accumulated more than $2 million dollars in scholarships to various post-secondary institutions.
