Neil Kerr, who has been practicing law in Logan and Todd counties for 11 years, mailed his letter of intent Thursday morning to become a candidate for Commonwealth's Attorney in those two counties in the May Republican Primary Election.

He currently practices law in his own Russellville-based firm as well as serving as city attorney in Russellville and Lewisburg while jointly serving as Adairville City Attorney along with attorney James Milam.

A 1997 alumnus of Russellville High School, he graduated from Lipscomb University in 2001 and from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2006.

His experience includes serving as a law clerk for Logan Todd Circuit Judge Tyler Gill and then practicing in the law firms of Dillingham, Ritchie & Petrie in Elkton and Morgan & Williams in Russellville. Jason Petrie is now state representative, Ken Williams is district judge and Ken Dillingham a former district judge, all for Logan and Todd counties.

His wife Emily works with him in his private practice--the Law Office of Paul Neil Kerr II.
