The Russellville High School Beta Club attended the National Beta State Convention in Lexington Jan. 28-30. The National Beta Club is an academic oriented service organization based on the motto "Let Us lead by Serving Others."

The Beta service group of 39 high school students from Russellville spent three days sharing their special talents and competing against other high school students from across the state of Kentucky.

RHS Senior Ashlee Gilbert said, “Throughout my high school career, Beta convention has provided me with amazing opportunities to showcase my talents and compete with other people around the state.  It’s nice to be around other students who value their education and are committed to serving others.”

The National Beta Club offers a wide range of categories appealing to all students from Visual Arts & Crafts, Banner design & Scrapbooking, to Academic Testing and Quiz Bowl.  Russellville was well represented in all areas this year.
