Logan County Fair today features farmers market, livestock shows, carnival, events for kids

Tuesday at the fair features livestock and kids. Livestock shows, a Farmers’ Market, carnival rides and an evening devoted to children will highlight the second day of the Logan County Fair Tuesday.

 

The Logan County Farmers’ Market runs under the rear pavilion every Tuesday beginning at noon. Many of Logan County’s favorite vegetables are coming into season. There is no admission fee.

The carnival rides will run Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Tuesday through Thursday, the hours are 5-10 p.m. Ticket bundles are available. They are half price Wednesday.

In addition to the carnival rides, rides in a real helicopter are available, beginning at 5 p.m. The price is $20 per person for the five-six-minutes rides.

The Little M. & Miss Pageant begins at 6 p.m.  Divisions for girls up to age 12 and boys to age 5. Registration closed Friday. Admission is $5 for those $10 or over.

The Tiny Tot Big Top will be at the Ag Complex from 5-8 p.m.  This is for babies up to age 4. Face painting, inflatables, games, prize and concessions will be going on. To register for a Diaper Derby, call 270-717-5433.

Livestock shows will be held in the Arena. The Alpaca Show starts at 3 p.m., Lamb Show starts at 5:30, Meat & Dairy Goat Show starts at 6 followed by the Swine Show at 6:30.
