Russellville/Logan County Community Education Director Penni Nugent has added three more classes to the fall lineup, all of which are being taught at the Logan County Career & Technology Center by LCCTC instructors.
They are as follows:
LCCTC Instructor Chris Hoffman will offer a Basic AutoCAD Class. AutoCAD is a leading CAD program, with hundreds of industries using it every day. The software can seem very advanced if you don’t know what you’re doing. There are so many tools and commands—not to mention the actual interface. To help you start off your AutoCAD journey you’ll learn about AutoCAD’s precision capabilities, basic terminology, basic geometry, and modification tools. The cost will be $90 for 6 weeks. All supplies are included. Sessions will begin Monday, Sept. 17 begin will end Oct. 29. Classes will be held at LCCTC in Room 301, from 6-7 p.m. Please register on or before Friday, Sept. 14.
Would you like to learn some Basic Skills for Electrical Projects?...take the confusion and risk out of DIY electrical projects?...get a good grounding in how your wiring works, what tools you need, how to make connections, how to work with wire and cable, how to avoid the most common errors, and most of all, how to be completely safe around electricity? Then, this class may be just for you!LCCTC Instructor Barry Bond will walk you through everything you need to know to get started. The cost will be $150 for 5 weeks. All supplies are included. Sessions will begin Tuesday, Sept. 18, and will end Oct. 23. Classes will be held at LCCTC in Room 1001, from 4-5:30 p.m. Please register on or before Monday, Sept. 17.
You’ve probably heard of 3D Printing. It was supposed to be the new “Industrial Revolution.” 3D printing is a form of additive manufacturing. Objects are built in small layers, stacked on top of each other one at a time. It can be quite a slow process, but it does have many benefits. LCCTC Instructor Chris Hoffman will talk you through everything you need to know to get started. Come join this Basic 3-D Printing class! The cost will be $120 for 6 weeks. All supplies are included. Sessions will begin Tuesday, Sept. 18, and will end Oct. 30. Classes will be held at LCCTC in Room 301, from 6-7:30 p.m. Please register on or before Monday, Sept. 17.
