A Basketball Kickoff Dinner will be held Friday, Oct. 27, as a fundraiser for Logan County Lady Cougar and Cougar Basketball.

The dinner will be held before the Cougar Football Team holds Senior Night and tries to wrap up an undefeated season with a win over Todd Central.

Brandon Stockton, the former Kentucky Wildcat who was Mr. Kentucky Basketball while playing for Coach Bart Flener at Glasgow, will be the guest speaker. Stockton was a member of the Bowling Green Hornets, who play their home games in Logan County.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with Stockton speaking at 5:45. A ribeye steak dinner will be served.

Several levels of support are available, ranging from a Benchwarmer meal for one at $15 to Layup ($50 for two meals, a Logan County decal, and a tee shirt) to Buzzer Beater and Tourney Champ sponsorships at $200 and $500.

Tickets are available from coaches, players and at First Southern Deposit Bank, Lewisburg Banking Company and Auburn Banking Company.

Proceeds will be used to support both the boys and girls programs.

The Cougars open their season Monday, Nov. 27 at Warren East. The Lady Cougars and Cougars then play at home the following night against Edmonson County, which will be the season opener for the girls team.

Lonnie Mason is beginning his sixth season as the head coach of the boys, and Finley Baird her fifth at the Lady Cougar helm. Both are former LCHS players themselves.
