The Logan County High School girls and boys basketball teams held their end-of-the-season banquet on Sunday, March 25, to recognize the players and their accomplishments for the 2017-18 season.
For the Cougars, the following were award winners by each level:
Varsity Award Winners: Defensive Award—Reggie Powell; Offensive Award— Kelby Epley and Tommy Krohn; Most Improved Player—Caden McKinnis; 6th Man Award—Third Bell; MVP—Austin Rayno; Cougar Award—Jonathan Furlow; Coach's Award— Mykal Hampton and Matthew Mullins; Hustle Award—Ethan Smock and Team Player Award—Brady Griggs.
JV Award Winners: Offensive Award—Nathaniel Vick; Defensive Award—Dalton Thompson; Team Player—Reggie Powell; Most Improved Player—Dylan Basham; and Coach's Award—Brady Griggs.
Freshmen Award Winners: Coach's Award—Zak Delrosal; Most Improved Player—Zach Matthews; Team Player—Blake Wood; Offensive Award—Kamden Coursey; and Defensive Award—Maurice Gordon.
Coach Lonnie Mason’s Cougars earned the number one seed in the 13th District Tournament and finished 15-14 for the season.
