Logan tennis teams won over Russellville

The 2018 Cougar Tennis teamq qwew victorious at Russellville on Thursday, April 12. 

Logan’s boys singles winner was Landon Larson, winning 8-5 against Layne Steele. RHS's Jacob Naylor was victorious over Andrew Lyne 6-0, 6-1, and Panthers Edward Barber was victorious over LC's Luke Fuller.  In boy's doubles Logan’s Lyne and Fuller defeated Javier Canales and Shawn Steele 6-3, 6-1, and the Cougar doubles team of Hunter Scarbrough and Larson defeated Cameron Cardwell and Ben Slack 8-5.

In girls action the Lady Cougars were victorious with singles & doubles wins:

Katie Noffsinger defeated Jaycee Buckner 8-0

Camden Williams defeated Ferana Rodriguez 8-1

Lindsay Allen defeated Anna Ragland 8-1

Anna Silvey beat Jordan Morris 8-1

Paige Thorpe beat Korissa Holloman 6-2

RHS Girls winners were Lilly Buffa over Kendal Dean 9-8 in a tie-breaker and Gracie Ann Beard over Keely Sanford 6-1.

Cougar girls doubles winners were:

Kara Noffsinger & Lauren Barnes over Kaitlen Patten & Frailey Watkins 8-0

Bella Bond & Hannah Goss over My Tran & Makiyah Morrow 8-2

LC's Ellie Sandlin & Elizabeth McGinnis were also winners as were Kendal Williams & Landrie Hughes.

The Cougars are back in action Tuesday at Ohio County. On Thursday the Cougars travel to Muhlenberg County. Then on Friday night they travel to Glasgow and Barren County. On Saturday they host the Apollo Eagles with first serve at approximately 11 am.  

Jeff Noffsinger coaches LCHS tennis. Calvin and Tracy Naylor are the Russellville coaches.
