The Logan County Lady Cougar Tennis Team saw their season come to an end Tuesday night in the Fourth Region Tournament at Warren Central High School. The Lady Cougars did have one entry reach the regional quarterfinals, however.

The doubles team of Lauren Barnes and Kara Noffsinger defeated Allen County 6-Love, 6-Love, to advance to the Regional Quarterfinals. This was the third consecutive year that a Lady Cougar doubles team advanced that far, the only non-Warren County or Bowling Green school to do so.

In the quarterfinals Barnes and Noffsinger faced #1 seed Greenwood and had a back-n-forth first set before falling 4-6. In the second set Greenwood grabbed the momentum early and finished out the second set, winning 6-Love.

Katie Noffsinger lost her singles match to the #3 seeded Brooklyn Brown of Glasgow, losing 1-6, Love-6.  Camden Williams lost to her singles match to the #2 seeded Konner Gallagher 2-6, 2-6.  In doubles action Bella Bond & Hannah Goss lost to Greenwood's Lin & Earnhardt Love-6, Love-6.

Head Coach Jeff Noffsinger said he was proud of the Cougar Tennis Team and said that he'd received many compliments from fellow coaches and parents about the play of his team, but what made him the most proud was the fact that many told him that his team was one of most honest and likeable teams to play.

He says that this summer there'll be opportunities for existing players and newcomers who might be interested in learning the game of tennis to get lessons as well as playing experience.
