The Logan County High School Archery Team had a record-setting start to their season this weekend at Auburn. They won the high school division, competing against six other teams including one of the top teams in the state.

They broke the school record for the highest team score by shooting a 3415. Only eight schools in Kentucky had shot above 3400 at the end of last's State Tournament. This was quite an achievement considering it was their first tournament of the year.

Several Cougar archers finished near the top of their respective divisions, including Isaac Stanley and CJ Raymer, who won their divisions.

Out of 75 boys and 76 girls these individuals placed as follows:

Male

1st Place - Isaac Stanley shot 296

4th Place - Clacy White shot 286

6th Place - Jaden Hayes shot 285

7th Place - Michael Drake shot 285

Female

1st Place - CJ Raymer shot 290

2nd Place - Kinsey Hayes shot 288

3rd Place - Rhonda Reeves shot 287

6th Place - Lindsey Brinkley shot 285
