Brett Knifley, a rising junior at Logan County High School, is winning honors at high levels in archery, as she has most of her life.

This weekend she won the Tennessee ASA 3D Tournament in the High School Open Female Division. The event was held at Mountain Archery in Monteagle, Tenn.

Instead of being a member of the LCHS Archery Team, she is pursuin scholarship opportunities through S3DA and ASA. Both of them are archery platforms on local, state and national levels.

A few weeks ago she placed third on the podium in the Tennessee S3DA State Tournament. Her next national stage will be the ASA Tournament in Cullman, Ala. Through these new platforms she’s had the opportunity to shoot in KY, Illinois, TN, Georgia, Alabama and Texas in addition to Kentucky and Tennessee.

She has been selected as a Staff Shooter for the archery equipment company AAA Outdoors to represent their brand. A look at her Facebook page Brett Knifley—Archer—Bullseye Brett shows many more companies, colleges and organizations with which she is affiliated.

Staff Shooter means that she wears the logo of that company and shoots for them because she uses their equipment. It is fairly prestigious to be selected as a Staff Shooter for an archery equipment company to represent their brand. She’s made many friends from all over the country.

“Just last year and this, she's already won roughly $200,000 in scholarships from multiple colleges for her podium finishes,” says her mother, Riley Knifley.
