Coach Davenport released this statement:

“I have tremendous confidence in Coach Katy and her ability to lead our young Panthers. She brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to our softball program. She has a great ability to connect with our students. Over the past year I have watched her build great relationships with our athletes and mentor them. She's a coach that truly cares about her players and she loves being a Panther. I’m excited to see our middle school softball program continue to excel under her direction.”
