This was the 127th straight district win for the Lady Cougars, who have won 17 straight district championships since last losing a district match on Aug. 17, 2004. They also haven’t lost a single set since Sept. 11 of that same year, with the total reaching 305 straight sets in this match. The current juniors were age 1 when the streak began.

After beating Muhlenberg County Monday, the Lady Cougars return to district play tonight at Todd Central. Saturday Sheffield’s team is scheduled to play in the Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington.

The official Volleyball Senior Night is scheduled next Tuesday, Sept, 22, against Russellville. Athletic Director Greg Howard held a simple recognition Monday night in case the real Senior Night gets cancelled because of  COVID-19. Game will start at 5:30 p.m. in LCHS Auxiliary Gym.
