Brackets announced for FSNB Christmas Classic

Brackets for the FSNB Christmas Classic basketball tournament in late December have been announced by Tournament Director Holli Brown of First Southern National Bank. WRUS is also a sponsor.
All first and second round games will be played in the home gym of the local team, either Logan County or Russellville. In the girls division, the Russellville Lady Panthers will play Mayfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27. South Warren and Middlesboro are in the bracket with and at RHS. Coach Dedra Adler’s team will play one of them on Tuesday, either in the winners’ or losers’ bracket.
The girls championship game will be played at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Jim Young Gymnasium. All four girls games will be at RHS on Wednesday.
The Logan County Lady Cougars will play their first two games on their home court. Coach Scot MacAllister’s team will face Moore Traditional at 6 p.m. Monday. Tuesday’s opponent will be either Russell County or the Waneroo Wolves of Australia.
In the boys division, the Logan County Cougars will entertain Caverna at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Tuesday’s opponent for Coach Harold Tackett’s team will be against either Meade County or the Wolves. All of Wednesday’s boys games will be at LCHS with the championship game scheduled at 7 p.m.
Mayfield will also provide the opposition for the Russellville boys Monday at 8 p.m. Coach Dennis Pardue’s Panthers will go against either South Warren or Russell County at RHS Tuesday.
