LCHS Archery teams compete at KHSAA state

The LCHS Archery teams competed in the KHSAA State Tournament this past Thursday. They shot at Ephram White Gym in Bowling Green with the other nine Regions competing at their respective locations across the state.

The boys team shot a 1954 and finished 14th in the state. They were led by sophomore Isaac Stanley, who shot a career best 299 and was crowned Co-State Champion along with Taylor Conway from Harrison County. Junior Clacy White shot a 289 and finished 28th.   

Also competing for LCHS were juniors Skyler Ezell and Justin Pearson, sophomores Daylan Lawrence and Tanner Robinson, freshmen Seth Williamson and Preston Thompson, 8th grader Philip Thompson, & 7th graders Will Tabor, Jackson Kemplin, and Connor Thomas.

The girls team shot a 1918 and finished 13th in the state. They were led by junior Emma Allen with a 285 finishing 25th and sophomore Kinsey Hayes with a 281 finishing 50th.

Also competing were seniors Lindsey Brinkley, Sydnee Claypool, and Alexis Drake, juniors Emma Edler and Erin Kemp, sophomores Kaitlyn Scruggs and Jenna Coles & freshmen Kali Brown, Natalie Roberts, and Jessi Bogle.
