Lewisburg won the elementary division and Logan County High School the oldest division of the first ever Russellville Panther Archery Tournament Jan.

LCHS did not report individual results to The LoJo, but the Cougar archers pulled off an impressive win. “Logan County High School did what few
teams have ever have done in defeating Trigg County to take the top spot in the High School Division,” says Adairville Assistant Principal Steve
Stratton.
Lewisburg and Adairville did report their results. For Lewisburg, Kaitlyn Foster was the top female shooter in the elementary division with Caitlin
Hardison third, Marisa Wells sixth and Kaylee Yakuboff tenth. Blake Taylor
led the Ranger boys by finishing second with Aaron Baugh fourth, Hunter Rosser eighth and John York tenth.
The Rangers also had three marksmen place in the middle school division with Shaun Manning sixth and Jackson Wells seventh among the males and Autumn
Costellow tenth in the female division, according to Christie Dotson.
Adairville, meanwhile, placed second in the middle school division. Jenny Colbert led the way in second place. Laura Hendricks was fourth, Austin Rayno
and Taylor Blakemore had fifths, Amber Anderson a sixth, Grace McLellan seventh, Christian Lynch eighth and Brinkley Warren ninth.
“Over two hundred archers from throughout Western Kentucky attended the tournament,” Stratton notes. “Pam Thompson, Russellville High School archery
coach, put on a great tournament along with a very enthusiastic group of coaches and volunteers. Thanks for the support and encouragement from
Principal John Myers.”
Chandlers teams also participated, as did Muhlenberg South Elementary School where former Russellville Area Technology Center director Grayson Wells is
principal.
