Six members of Russellville Middle School’s outstanding football team  are in Berea to play in the Kentucky Middle School Football Association All Star Game, beginning at 11 Saturday morning.

They are wide receiver Amarus Morrow, linebacker Ta’Kyon Darden, wide receiver Jamarion Gardner, defensive lineman/offensive lineman Skylar Goodman, defensive back Taven Harris and defensive back/wife receiver JaCoveon Temple-Dickerson.

“This is a great opportunity for these players to represent themselves, their family and Russellville,” says RMS Coach Ta’Corian Darden. “Most of all have fun, make connections and macemories! Congratulations--the Future is Bright!

The Panthers finished their regular season with a 9-1 record and advanced deep into the playoffs.

During Friday’s drills and workouts at Berea, Darden says two of the Panthers, Gardner and Morrow, were the fastest eight graders.

“Gardner also recorded the highest vertical jump and tied as the fastest player at the 2022 KYMSFA ALL STAR ??Combine!’” Coach Darden says.
