The scene and scenery will be familiar for the Russellville Lady Panthers tomorrow and hopefully Sunday when they return for yet another Kentucky All A Classic Class 1A Statewide Tournament at Owensboro’s Jack Fisher Field.

The Lady Panthers play Livingston Central at 8:30 a.m. on the Green Field. Their next game is at noon on the Yellow Field vs. Lexington Christian. Finally, Coach Ryan Davenport’s team will take on Bracken County on the Red Field at 3:30 p.m.

If Rusellville finishes first or second among those four teams in B, the Black and Gold will play on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. The top seed from their Pool B will play the number two seed from Pool D. Likewise Pool B’s second seed will go against the Pool D team with the best record from Saturday.

Winners from the four early morning games will play in the semifinals. The championship game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on the Red Field.

Ryan Davenport, who is both the Russellville softball coach and athletic director, says, “The ticket link is available on our website-no cash will be accepted at Jack C Fisher Park.  All tickets must be purchased through GoFan.”

This is the Lady Panthers’ fourth trip to the state tournament in five seasons. They went 3-1 last year before being eliminated by Louisville Holy Cross.

Seniors A’miyah Collier, Jaylah Kees, and Brinley Mason and juniors Turtle Bell, Reese Croslin and Madison Penrod have been a big part of most of those teams, as has Coach Davenport.
