After Lee Proctor, Landon Stratton and Caleb Bruner along with a state championship team are inducted Friday night between games of the Clash of the Cats. It will bring the total to 48 individuals and a pair of teams who have been enshrined into the Logan County Cougar Foundation Athletic Hall of Fame in its nine classes.

The 1984 Lady Cougar 400-meter state championship team, consisting of Regina Robey, Tracie Mason, Theresa Flowers Bell, Janice Sydnor Patterson and the late Melissa Martin along with Coach Jane Burton McClure, will be inducted as a unit.

This is the 40th anniversary of their state title, as it is for the only other team to be inducted, the 1984 Cougars state championship basketball team. There are 29 members of those teams, but six of them have gone in both as individuals and part of the teams. They are tracksters Robey and Mason, basketball players Stacey Mason and Fred Tisdale, and coaches Gerald Sinclair and David Billingsley.

A reception for the inductees and their families will begin at 5 p.m. Friday. All Logan Hall of Famers are invited to attend without making a reservation.

No Hall of Famers were chosen in 2021 as high school sports were at a minimum because of the pandemic.

Lists of the members of the Cougar Hall of Fame are accompanying this article.
