GIRLS BASKETBALL-  The Lady Cougars ended the week 13-6 on the season after a big win over Russellville Friday night in a Clash of the Cats battle. That made the Lady Cougars 3-0 in district play. The Lady Cougars on Tuesday night will travel to South Warren to take on a very respected team in the 4th region. Friday night they go on the road to Todd Central for another big matchup in the 13th District. The Lady Cougars will wrap up the week with a home game against Allen County Saturday night at 6:00.

BOYS BASKETBALL-   After starting the season 1-5 the Cougars have flipped a switch and are playing some really good basketball. At they had a record of 10-8 overall and are 3-0 in district play following a big win Friday in the Clash of the Cats. Much like the Lady Cougars, the Cougars will have a very busy schedule this week. The Cougars will travel to South Warren on Tuesday for game two of the G/B doubleheader and to Todd County on Friday night. They will end the week at home on Saturday, taking on Allen County at 4:30.

SWIMMING- The Cougars have wrapped up their regular season swim meets and are preparing for Regionals. Regional Prelims will be on Feb. 2 at Bowling Green High School at 3:15.

ARCHERY- High School started their season this past weekend and they are looking to have another successful season. The Archery team will compete next Friday night in the Mustang Round Up tournament.

MS GIRLS BASKETBALL-  The Lady Cougar Middle School basketball team finished their season this weekend competing in the 13th District Tournament. They received the #1 seed in the tournament but came up short in the opening round, falling by 1 point to Todd County Middle School, who went on to win the district tournament. There is lots of promise with these young Lady Cougars and we are excited to watch them in the future.

MS BOYS BASKETBALL-  The middle school boys basketball team wrapped up their season Saturday evening, coming up just short in the 13th District Tournament Championship Game. They opened the day knocking off the Franklin Simpson Wildcats, advancing to the championship game where they fell 34-40 to Russellville and finished 13th District Runner-up. The Cougars improved tremendously over the course of the season, and we are looking forward to seeing these young athletes grow over the next few years as they enter high school.
