It’s a big week for Logan County Cougar Baseball.
Earlier this week, the Cougars were named the top seed in next week’s 13th District Tournament. That entitles them to an automatic berth in the district championship game and a trip to the Fourth Region Tournament.
Also this week, two Cougars were named All-region. Davin Yates and Chance Sweeney for being voted to the All-Fourth Region baseball teams. Davin Yates was selected 1st team All infield. Chance was selected 1st team pitcher and 2nd team outfield.
Then in the middle of the week, the Cougars joined the Lady Cougars in sweeping good South Warren teams in baseball and softball.
Now this Saturday, two Cougars will sign to play college baseball. Kade Wall will play for Lindsey Wilson College and Yates for Kentucky Wesleyan College.
The signing will begin at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Logan County Career & Technical Center.
Sweeney signed with Auburn University of Montgomery.
You can see the statistics for all three of them on this page.
