Barrett Croslin, a three-sport starter for the Russellville Panthers, had his name appear in more stories than anyone else in the fourth year of The Logan Journal. The starting quarterback, shortstop and shooting guard for RHS, Croslin had already been announced as the leader in the second half of the year, from Aug. 1 through Jan. 31. He appeared in 34 stories, six more than anyone else.

The LoJo was created on Feb. 1, 2009. Each year the most frequently named individuals are announced.

The 17 people whose names appeared most often are involved in sports. The top nine were Croslin, RHS head basketball/assistant football Coach Phil Todd (who was athletic director half of the year), LCHS basketball players Torin Graham, Landon Stratton (also a soccer and football player) and Ben Wright, and RHS basketball players Jordan Kennedy, Zach Hines, Coco Darden and Josh Hampton. Hines, Hampton and Darden also played football, and Hampton was also a track star.

Tying for 10th place were LCHS head baseball and golf coach Ethan Meguiar, RHS football coach and former principal John Myers, LCHS volleyball and basketball player Kapreshia Powell, and RHS basketball great Amber Sydnor.

The most frequently mentioned non-sports person was new Russellville Principal Kim McDaniel.. Joining her in the top 10 in that group were State Rep. Martha Jane King ,Gov. Steve Beshear, Congressman Ed Whitfield, Kesi Neblett (a former sports star who has concentrated on academics the last two years), author Algie Ray Smith, Russellville Councilwoman/Main Street Director Darlene Gooch, author/journalist Al Smith, public relations specialist Diane Crawley, and Logan County Principal Casey Jaynes.
