The Todd Central Lady Rebels withstood an outstanding pitching performance by Shelby Milam and strong defense by the Logan County Lady Cougars Tuesday for a 3-1 district win in a Pink Out game at LCHS. The game went an extra inning.

Catcher Victoria Cates had a pair of doubles in the game, including one for an RBI that left the game tied at 1-1 until the eighth inning.

Maddie Abbott also doubled, freshmen Sierra Morrow and Cierra Johnson each had two hits, and Rebecca Dezarn, Shelby Browning and Molly Wharton each got a hit for Coach Michael Crawford’s team, but runs were hard to come by off Todd pitcher Kayla Watkins, who also hit Megan Griggs with a pitch.

Lauren Addison and Makayla Bilyeu each doubled for Coach Calvin Head’s Lady Rebels. Watkins had two singles, and Taylor Gilliland and Hilary Sweeney picked up RBIs. Addison, Sweeney and Jayde Robinson stole bases.

Both teams and their coaches wore pink in support of Relay for Life.
