“Our boys and girls did an outstanding job in the Panther Invitational at Elizabethtown Friday night,” says Logan County track coach Greg Howard.

“The boys had many great teams there and most were 3A schools. Our boys 4 X 200M Relay finished second but were disqualified for an exchange zone violation. If we weren’t disqualified we would have finished fourth instead of sixth.”

The boys 4 X 400M Relay team of Sye Head, Michael Sydnor, Dylan Cole, and Colton Spencer won again against their stiffest competition yet. Spencer once again won the 400M Dash, which featured four runners sub-52 seconds and turned out to be one of the fastest races in the state this year.

Tyler Wood set yet another personal record in the shot while placing sixth with a throw of 43’ 2” and fourth in the discus.

Hayley Mayher and Jasmine Martin excelled in their events with Mayher placing tenth in the Shot and third in the discus, while Martin finished fifth in the 100M Dash and fourth in the 200M Dash. Aaron Foster placed sixth in the 200M dash while Head placed fifth in the 800M Run.

Levi Crossley and Kelly Eicher ran the 3200M Run for the Cougars and both had their best times yet, as Crossley placed seventh and Eicher tenth. Justin Rone placed third in the 110M Hurdles, fifth in the 300M Hurdles, fifth in the Long Jump, and tied for second in the High Jump. Michel Sydnor placed sixth in the Triple Jump.
