Younger Little League Stars beat Franklin

Pounding out 14 hits, the Logan County 9-10 Little League All-Stars beat Franklin-Simpson 11-9 Saturday.

Pitchers Blake Wood and John Carter Myers combined for the win while Trevor Scott earned the save.

Logan jumped out front early with a five-run first inning and a four-run second to take a 9-4 lead into the third inning.

LC led 11-4 entering the final inning before F-S posted five additional runs. Scott came to the mound in the sixth inning and faced just one batter, striking him out to end the game and earn the save.

Macon Barrow and Myers each had three hits. Wood and Jacob Burton each had a doubled and a single. Jarrett Sears joined them with two hits.

Logan returns to action at 6 p.m. Sunday against North Warren.
