This last weekend in October, the WK Aces 12U team won the Halloween Havoc baseball tournament in Owensboro.  The Aces went 5-0 over the two-day tournament to become champions.

They had two wins on Saturday, beating the Indiana Havoc 15-5 and then Shakamak, Ind. 8-4.  Sunday they beat a Kentucky team, the Bucs, 8-5, followed by the West Tennesee Indians 4-3 and the Ball Hogs—another Kentucky team--in the finals 9-1.

The 12-and-under division had 12 teams in it, and this is the second year in a row the Aceshave won this tournament, which always wraps up the fall baseball season for them.

The WK Aces represent a local baseball and softball travel organization that operates out of Russellville involving many local kids and coaches from this area.

Baseball had 15U, 14U, 12U, 11U, 10U, 9U and 8U teams this past year along with three softball teams.  The 15U team was run by Mike Riley, 14U Kyle Wall and Travis Steward, 12U Jason Hayes and Ethan Meguiar, 11U Mike Cartas and Jon Barrow, 10U Brett Sowell, 9U Kyle Wall, Kevin Rayno, Doug Binkley, and Jeff Robinson, and 8U Troy Engler, Roscoe Fite and Tim Blick. The softball teams were run by Kevin Ferguson, John McLellan, and Todd and Dedra Adler.

The WK Aces would like to thank all of the local sponsors from this area who have helped fund these teams and given them an opportunity to play competitive baseball and softball.
