Swimmers and archers from Russellville High School performed well and showed improvement last weekend, according to results released by Principal Kim McDaniel.
Coach Toni Hall’s Swimming Panthers had what McDaniel calls “a really good day” at the Best of the West swim meet hosted by Bowling Green High School. Some highlights from the meet are:
*Ben Slack, Eduardo Rodriguez, Fernanda Rodriguez, Kate Bouldin, Milam Watkins, Cole Celsor, and Jessie Wilson shaved time from at least one event.
*The first RHS girls relay team (Wilson, F. Rodriguez, Fraley Watkins, and Bouldin) since the 2007 swim season did well in their first 200 Freestyle of the season.
*The boys relay team (E. Rodriguez, Dillon Porter, Celsor, and M. Watkins) shaved time from their 200 Freestyle.
*“Most Improved Times Award” for this meet goes to Jessie Wilson – shaving 1.15 from her 50 Free and 12.41 from her 100 Free!
Some of RHS’ top finishers were:
*Ben Slack – 16th overall in boys 100 Fly (1:17.74)
