The Olmstead Lady Rams and the Adairville Cardinals are the top seeds in the 2014 Logan County Middle School Basketball Tournament, which begins Friday night at Logan County High School.
The tournament starts with the fourth seeded Chandlers girls playing Lewisburg at 6:30 p.m. In the boys game afterwards, fourth seeded Olmstead takes on Chandlers.
The winners of those games will meet the top seeds Saturday night, with Olmstead’s girls ready to tip off at 6:30 p.m. and the Adairville Cardinals taking the floor at approximately 8.
Saturday afternoon’s games start at noon with number two Auburn facing number three Adairville in the girls tournament. Afterwards, the second-seeded Lewisburg Rangers face number three seed Auburn.
The championship games will be played Tuesday with the girls tipping off at 6:30 and the boys to follow.
Hugh McReynolds is tournament manager. Holli Brown is the scorer, Bill Joe Coleman the clock operator and Barry McReynolds and Dan Duncan the announcers. Laura Jaynes manages the hospitality room.
