Cougar Foundation holding Meet & Greet for Coach Duncan

New Logan County football coach Steve Duncan will be both the guest of honor and the guest speaker when the Logan County Cougar Foundation conducts a fundraiser next Friday.

Also to be featured are former Cougar great Joseph Jefferson, the highest NFL draft pick in Western Kentucky University history and a former starter for the Indianapolis Colts; former Cougar star Terry Clayton, who played football for the University of Kentucky and became a national award winner; and Zipp Duncan, the coach’s son who was an All-SEC tackle for UK and a former free agent signee with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Meet & Greet will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at Crossroads Church near City-County Park in Russsellville. The meal, which is included in the ticket price, will be from Roy’s Bar-B-Q

General admission tickets will be $8 at the door, but they can be purchased in advance for $5. They are available only at the four locations of Lewisburg Banking Company on Main Street in Lewisburg, on the Square in Adairville, the Hopkinsville Road in Russellville, and Armory Drive in Russellville. The funds will go to the Foundation to be used for the benefit of the sports programs at LCHS.

Officers of the relatively new Logan County Cougar Foundation are President Jimmy Kent Wilson, President Elect Kyle Hines, Past President Richard Holloman, Treasurer Chad Hardison and Secretary Michelle Mitchell. Other board members are Mike Riley, Lori Bouldin, LeAnn Powell, John Ferris, Casey Jaynes and Jon Barrow.

Advisors and non-voting members are Legal—Joe Hendricks, Insurance—Larry Powell and School Board—Marshall Kemp. Standing committees chairs are Project—Jimmy Kent Wilson, Fund Raising—Billy Bingham and Alumni—Richard Holloman.
