The Logan County Cougar Foundation, which is dedicated to providing support to LCHS athletics, has made a significant contribution to the baseball team.

Billy Bingham, the president of Lewisburg Banking Company who is chairman of the Foundation Fundraising Committee, and Teresa Hendrix made the presentation. Hendrix is the bank's Lewisburg office manager and the mother of Jordan Hendrix, a pitcher on the district champion baseball team. She helped with the administration of the fundraising campaign.

Coach Ethan Meguiar and three key seniors accepted the check for $1,377..

Bingham explains the campaign as follows:

“The foundation sponsors the online fundraising campaign using a website called Ourfund. Personalized emails are sent to potential donors requesting a donation to the team. The players provide the email addresses from family and friends. Ethan had over 100 LCHS baseball alumni addresses. The donors pay online with a card.

“OurFund keeps a 15 percent fee, the Foundation keeps 25 percent for administration, and the team gets the remaining 60 percent of each dollar donated. The baseball team's 60 percent= $1,377.”
