On the second day of Logan County Babe Ruth doubleheaders Monday, the Reds and Sky Blues were winners.

The Reds, coached by Travis Steward and Terry Crafton, beat the Bad News Blues 11-1. Hunter Crafton had two singles, E.J. Artis doubled, and Ryan Hudson, Jackson Steward and Kelby Epley all singled. Crafton and Hudson were credited with two RBIs each with Steward and Artis getting one each.

Crafton was the winning pitcher, going four innings and allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out 11.

Devon Roche got that single hit for the Blues, who are coached by Shea Ross and Matt Roche. He also pitched, giving up six hits and a pair of walks while fanning four.

Earlier in the evening, Sky Blue—coached by Dr. David Woodall and Frank Lillard—beat the Mean Green 8-3 to run their record to 2-0.

Jordan Blick tripled, Nate Woodall doubled, and Kaleb Bell, Caleb Justic and Cody McElfresh added hits for the winners. McElfresh drove in three runs while Price Brown and Bell each had two RBIs.

Koby Wall was the winning pitcher. In four innings he gave up four hits and six walks while striking out seven. Blick worked the final inning, managing four strikeouts in that inning. He gave up one hit and no walks.

For the Mean Green of coaches Jay and Ben Wright, Evan Humphrey had two doubles and Jack Wright also doubled. Lane Berry and Chandler Silvey each singled.

Silvey got an RBI, as did Jackson Steward, subbing for the Greens, who didn’t have enough players of their own.

Humphrey pitched for the Mean Green.
