When fans arrive at the Logan County High School gymnasium Friday night for the district doubleheader with Todd Central, they will see a new score table in place.
First Southern National Bank provided LCHS with a much needed table for those keeping the scorebook and the clock along with the public address announcer.
Holli Brown, a graduate of LCHS who is employed in a position of responsibility at FSNB, is the long-time official scorer at Cougar games and has worked with a number of head coaches of the boys basketball program.
“We want to thank First Southern as long-time sponsor of Logan County Athletics and their overall involvement in our community,” says Athletic Director Greg Howard. “Thanks for the wonderful table and to Holli for her efforts with the upcoming Cougar Foundation sponsorship of the new inductees into the Hall of Fame and long-time sponsorship of the First Southern National Bank Christmas Basketball Tournament held at both Logan County and Russellville!”
FSNB provides the plaques which will be presented to the nine new inductees into the Cougar Foundation Hall of Fame Friday. Plaques also hang from a new Hall of Fame area at the southwest doors of the gymnasium.
Also at last week’s Clash of the Cats, Cougar athletics honored Logan Telephone Cooperative for its continued support of LCHS. Howard presented a plaque to the co-op’s general manager, Greg Hale, who takes the pictures of Cougar and Lady Cougar basketball that are used on The LoJo.
