Our Panther Swim team had an exciting weekend at the regional swim meet in Owensboro. Below is specific information from Coach Toni Hall:
The Swim Team had a great second day at Regionals. The boys (Ben Slack, Cole Celsor, Dillon Porter and Lupe Ramirez) 200 Free Relay finished 10th and Personal Record with a time of 1:50.67. Ben placed 8th in the 100 Fly and 12th in the 200 Free. Cole placed 13th in the 50 Free and 16th in the 100 Free. Dillon placed 16th in the 100 Breast. Lupe's events were 50 and 100 Free and all the boys had PRs in their events. The girls, Katie Ray Holloman and Katie Paul, both swam in the 50 had a couple PRs in their events. The team has worked extremely hard this season and it showed this weekend at Regionals. I'm so very PROUD of them.
BASKETBALL
Congratulations to our Lady Panthers and Panthers for picking up two district victories Friday night at Todd County. Both teams will travel to Bowling Green Tuesday night to take on the Purples and then will play next Friday night at home for Senior Night. The district tournament begins the week of the 20th with both teams playing on Tuesday the 21st at Franklin-Simpson High School. Good Luck, Panthers!!
ACADEMICS
The RHS Academic Team will be in action again this week with a record number of members participating in the Regional Governor’s Cup Academic Team match!! We wish our academic team, along with Coach Jennifer Rogers, the best of luck!! We are confident that we will have several students advancing to state competition in March!
